Mr Fan is most humble, modest and gracious man.  His love of Traditional Chinese Culture has played a large part in his life and the enthusiasm and knowledge he still displays for his chosen pastime is obvious to all who meet him.

Born in 1961 to a family with an artistic tradition, he worked his way through his formal education and into a post of great responsibility which he still holds within the Chinese Government.  During the course of this progression he continued at all times to pursue his love of the arts, including poetry, painting, and calligraphy.

His list of achievements and recognitions is an impressive one.  He currently holds the post of Vice Dean of the Yunnan Spring City Institute of Chinese Calligraphy and Traditional Painting, Standing Committee member of the Chinese Art Association and Vice President of the China Modern Art Association. Alongside this he also holds honorary director posts in dozens of other Traditional Painting and Calligraphy organisations.

He has won countless awards for his own works including Artist of the People from the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association.  His work is so highly regarded that it has been exhibited overseas and some of his work can be found in the Celebrities and Masterworks Collection of National Modern Calligraphy and Painting, the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Collection and the 21st Century Outstanding Professionals Collections to name a few.

Mr Fan’s warm hearted and generous approach to sharing his knowledge and assisting other people to gain a valuable insight into the field of Traditional Chinese Culture and Art is something, sadly that is rarely found in this day and age.  He has been a source of great advice to help ensure what we have on offer to the guest here is truly authentic and of the best quality.  It is also with Mr Fan’s help that we have been able to organise our charity work within Yunnan, which involves a donation for each guest that visits us going to a Chinese Artists Trust, set up to assist amongst other things the poorest people in the region to have medical help, and Youth Associations to give the children here a helping hand.

We would like here to extend our gratitude and respect for his kind involvement.
